Announcing one of our honorees for Mission Possible 2019: Tony Burns!
Tony will be receiving the Dignity award at this year’s Mission Possible Celebration for his work as a peer mentor and advocate for people experiencing homelessness in DC.
Tony was referred to Miriam’s Kitchen to connect with our intensive case management and to take steps to find a safe, permanent home. As a new neighbor of Miriam’s Kitchen, Tony joined us in our dining room and became a mentor to other guests through the Miriam’s Kitchen Speakers Bureau and beyond.
Tony is an inspiration to all of us at Miriam’s Kitchen, and we are excited to celebrate him and share his joy with our DC community.
Join us to celebrate Tony and our mission to end chronic and veteran homelessness in DC!
This year’s Mission Possible Celebration will be held at the National Museum of Women in the Arts on Thursday, May 2nd as we celebrate Tony, our community and our collaborative work to end chronic and veteran homelessness in DC. Learn more about Tony’s story and watch a short video here.
