MORE THAN A MEAL
When people think of Miriam’s Kitchen, they think of our awesome meals program. It’s a fact we are extremely proud of. Indeed, many of our guests say that their pathway of change started with a delicious meal in our dining room. And over the years, we have built upon this strong foundation of food and hospitality to better respond to our guests’ short-term and long-term needs.
However, as an organization with a mission to end chronic homelessness in DC, we need our guests, volunteers, donors, and the broader community to see the work and impact of MK beyond our meals. This is why we are thrilled to have EMIC Films produce a new pro-bono video that shines a light on the many ways–from meals to housing–MK works with leaders across the city to end long-term homelessness in the District.
Through the video and stories of Bill, Waldon and Albert, we hope to inspire more people to get involved in the efforts to create a nation’s capital where instances of homelessness are rare, brief and non-recurring.
