We’re so glad you’re interested in volunteering at Miriam’s Kitchen and helping to end chronic homelessness in D.C.!
All volunteers need to commit to at least one shift per month on an ongoing basis. By attending our orientation, you acknowledge and agree to this commitment. Please note you must attend an orientation before you can begin volunteering.
Please note that if no events appear, our orientations are currently booked.
Make the place you volunteer the place you give. Donate here.
These are the four major areas where we need volunteers:
Volunteers can help serve a meal or do prep work for a future meal. We ask that kitchen volunteers commit to one regular shift per month.

We can only accommodate groups of 7 or less.
Volunteers can help distribute toiletries, fulfill clothing orders, or simply engage with our guests. Some volunteers help by giving haircuts, manicures, or writing resumes. Do you have some other skills to offer? Let us know!
